Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
